Pomona King of the Mountain Festival

The Pomona King of the Mountain will be celebrating its 31st anniversary on Sunday 25th July 2010 and now has sponsorship opportunities for businesses to support this internationally recognised sporting event.

It all began in 1959 when a local railway porter ran to the top of Mt. Cooroora in under one hour. In 1979 the Cooroy/Pomona Lions Club reinvented the King of the Mountain race. Today, 30 years on, the festival is now an internationally recognised sports event with over 12,000 people attending to watch the gruelling mountain challenge being completed in less than 30 minutes.

The Festival has several sponsorship opportunities ranging from $500 to $20,000.

As a sponsor of this event you will have the exclusive naming rights to major individual events or overall festival. The Festival has several main events throughout the day with the internationally recognised mountain challenge starting at 3pm.

To secure your place as a Corporate Sponsor of this Festival please let us know in writing or by contacting Terie Wakeham. Payment of sponsorship is required by June 30, 2010, although acknowledgement and confirmation of your sponsorship is required to allow us to incorporate your business information on all marketing material for the Festival. Remember earlier, the more coverage you get.
